Oh, Oh Organic, Inc. (Campbell, CA) has named innovative chemist, Sara Lampard MSc, as Senior Cosmetic Chemist effective September 1. Lampard was formerly Head R & D Chemist at Smith & Vandiver Corp, Watsonville, CA.
Lampard's cosmetic career began 8 years ago with AG Hair Cosmetics (Vancouver, BC Canada) as an R&D Chemist specializing in professional hair care and then became the lead formulator for Smith & Vandiver Corp in 2006. She has a background in food chemistry, cosmetic formulation/R&D and manufacturing.
Gay Timmons, president of Oh, Oh Organic, said, "Sara brings the perfect storm of familiarity with food ingredients and practical expertise in cosmetic formulation using many of the process standards in the world today. Lampard will be available to consult on organic and natural formulation, stability issues and trouble shooting. Additionally Timmons and Lampard are planning a series of webinars to provide short courses on formulation with organic and natural ingredients, quality control criteria for this class of chemicals and a third course on formulation to the various standards.
